Neal Adams stunning cover for 1967's STRANGE
ADVENTURES 207 featured not only Deadman
but, legend has it, the likenesses of many
of the folks then found in the DC offices.
My own version doesn't come close to Druckerizing
those staffers, true, but still, it sure

| Recently, after sharing scans of some of
my for-sale art with my friends over on Facebook,
several folks (primarily Erik Andresen--thanks
Erik!!) suggested I give the sketch card
field a try. I investigated a little, ordered
some packs of what Strathmore likes to call
"Artist Trading Cards" , and then
drew me up a few Forty, actually. And now they're all posted over on Ebay (hey, no listing fees through the 12th--how could I NOT take advantage of their rare moment of largess?...) No links to larger images this time around--these are approximately the size of the real thing, y'see. And though they're all B&W, I plan to delve into some different looks and media during future sketch card excursions. Anyway, take a look... |

| This Sunday, July 11th, in Lakewood NJ, just
before 5PM, I'll be doing something I never
imagined in my wildest dreams I'd EVER be
doing--throwing out the ceremonial first
pitch at a professional baseball game!! Why? Cuz I drew the cover of the special 10th Anniversary comic that the minor league Lakewood BearClaws are handing out that day (I'll be signing 'em too...). It's been quite a while since I threw around the ol' baseball, so I sure hope I don't embarrass myself!! Check back for pics and a full wrap-up later in the week.
