Fred, Thanks for your tribute page on the creators of the classic Dennis the Menace comic books! As a child in the sixties I purchased many of these issues and in the seventies purchased the reprint digests for the Toole/Wiseman treasures they contained. The Disney comics fans all knew about the "Good Duck Artist" even if they didn't know his name was Carl Barks. I certainly knew about the "Good Dennis Artist" although I didn't know his name was Al Wiseman at the time. Thanks for this long overdue tribute to these dedicated comic book creators! Best regards,
James Plunkett

Linked over here from the Beatlelinks (Georgiegirl). I read your review about the Beatle magazine you recently bought. I, too, bought it a few weeks ago and was surprised to find it fairly decent with pics that were rare. I've got some Beatle memories glammed onto my website too. And, I think I'm your age. You did say you were 11 when you saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Me, too. Oh, cool website and cartoons.

Thank you for that great article about the Dennis comic books. About 20 years ago I did a phone interview with Hank for PC Magazine (he was involved then with a software product for children called DR-Logo) and had a chance to thank him for those wonderful comic books. Hank mentioned the writer and artist to thank for that, so I'm glad to hear more on them now from you.

Congratulations, Fred! Your site is truly the Hembeckiest site on the whole world-wide Web! Your true-life tales should be turned into a comicbook just like Harvey Pekar's -- perhaps entitled SUBURBAN SPLENDOR! I can just picture the scene in which you discover that your daughter's "friends's" pool is for their family only. And then the comic can be made into a big Hollywood movie! I'm telling ya, Fred-baby, ya don't know what you've got here!

This site is good. It made me laugh. I like to laugh. I especially like to laugh by being exposed to humor, rather than for no reason at all. The humor on this site was good enough that when I laughed, I felt like I was laughing for a good reason, rather than because i was insane. I hope other people will be exposed to this site and laugh as well. More people need to laugh. Less people should be insane. Therefore more people should see this site and less people should not see this site. #7 Roast pork broccoli lunch special with white rice, no egg roll. And a diet pepsi. Thank you.

Don't know if you're aware of this or not, but given your apparent 'fondness' for the character. SCIFI channel is currently developing a series that "will focus on psychologist Jericho Drumm, who returns to New Orleans after the death of his brother and learns that he is destined to become a voodoo priest. In addition to discovering his talents in the black arts and the responsibilities they carry, Drumm must reconcile the magic and science in his life." That's right...Brother Voodoo, the series.
